Examples - Andy's Image Files

Alright, here we go. I have attached some .psd files (Photoshop image files) for your examination. Open them with Photoshop, and if you do not have Photoshop, you can download Photoshop's free cousin, The Gimp, here.

Open your layers palette and look at the layer names. Here is the breakdown:

  • At the bottom is a white Background layer (used as a base for printing trasparencies).
  • Then the Source Photo layer
  • Then the L1 layers. These are approximately the colors I would print with.
  • Then the Registration Marks layer which I print onto the transparencies.*
  • Then the L2 layers, which are the layers which I print to the transparencies.
Feel free to play around with these files and even screenprint with them. Remember, of course, not to sell the resulting prints.

Note: These transparencies will not fit on a 8-1/2"x11" transparency. I have them printed at a print shop. You can resize the image to do a smaller version.

*There is a separate post which holds an image file for Registration Marks which can be found here.
